Maintaining strong and flexible feet is essential for reducing foot and ankle pain, decreasing muscle soreness, and staying active as you age.
We’ve found a fantastic video that guides you through five easy exercises, all of which can be done standing or while seated—perfect for seniors and those just beginning an exercise routine.
We recommend incorporating these exercises into your routine by doing them twice in one sitting, at least three times a week. You can do them after a warm-up or as part of any Yes2Next video session. Here’s a quick overview of what you’ll be doing:
-
Point/Flex/Circles – 5x each foot
-
Heel Raises – 5x
-
Ball of Foot Circles – 5x each foot
-
Toe Curls – 10x
-
Leg or Calf Stretch – 20-30 second hold each leg
Give these exercises a try and experience the difference in how your feet feel!
