What is Speech Therapy?

Vestibular Therapy

WE TREAT

VERTIGO

If you experience any of the below symptoms, you may be a candidate for vestibular rehabilitation therapy (VRT):

  • Why Vestibular Rehab?

Most people will experience some form of dizziness at some point in life. While there are many causes of dizziness, the inner ear (vestibular system) is often the issue. The good news? Symptoms caused by issues with the vestibular system very often can be successfully treated with vestibular physical therapy. To state it simply: through therapy, your brain readjusts. With readjustment comes better-managed symptoms.

  • What happens during therapy?

Joint Works

It’s time,

manage your pain.

Welcome to JOINT WORKS, where we're all about your joint health and vibrant living!

So say goodbye to limitations and hello to a better quality of life – let JOINT WORKS be your partner on this journey to renewal!

Our friendly and dedicated team of physical therapists is here to provide you with top-notch care tailored specifically to your needs. Whether you're preparing for joint replacement surgery or recovering from an orthopedic procedure, our comprehensive program is designed to support you every step of the way. With a focus on both pre-operative and post-operative care, we're committed to helping you achieve optimal outcomes and a speedy recovery.

PRE-OPERATIVE

We help you prepare for surgery, improving recovery outcomes. For example, pre-operative PT can improve circulation, help reduce the risk of developing blood clots, reduce muscle fatigue and soreness, and strengthen the muscles around the joint, improving overall joint function and mobility. In addition, PT can help you build your core strength, which enables you to move in and out of bed without injury, and teach you how to use a walker or cane like a pro! Finally, a pre-surgery home assessment can ensure you have the proper equipment before being discharged from the hospital. This helps facilitate a smoother transition home and prevent any potential falls or accidents.

POST-OPERATIVE

Post-operative PT will help to facilitate a faster and smoother recovery. PT can help ease pain and reduce inflammation while also maintaining healthy circulation and reducing the risk of blood clots. Additionally, we can provide education and care for the incision to prevent infection and promote proper healing. PT will restore strength and mobility to the joint by strengthening the supporting muscles, eliminating muscle and joint stiffness, and improving balance. You can regain your ability to walk normally and with an improved range of motion, which can help you return to regular activities and daily life.

We help you get your life back as quickly and safely as possible.

But my doctor didn’t mention pre-operative care.
Why should I consider it?

Strengthening the muscles around the joint being replaced means:

  • Faster recovery time because you’re starting with more muscle

  • Less pain because the road to recovering strength is less steep

  • Improved range of motion & flexibility

  • Receive treatment to reduce pain & inflammation

There is no question about it; you will get better results by heading into surgery as strong as possible.

Being prepared for the physical demands of surgery and recovery:

  • Strengthening your upper body to help you get out of bed or in and out of a wheelchair during recovery is important.

  • Avoid injuring a different part of your body by working on balance and strengthening exercises.

Proactively correcting imbalances that have developed in your body from compensating for your painful joint:

  • Back pain from hip, knee, and ankle issues

  • Knee pain from ankle issues

  • Hip and back pain from knee and ankle issues

  • Neck pain from shoulder issues

Get back on track

with a faster and safer recovery.
